Patrick McMullan is president and chief operating officer of the company brand Three Square Market, whose self-checkout technology powers over 2,000 mini-convenience stores in offices and break rooms across the globe. This summer, he has made the news across the across the world, when alongside 50 of his employees, he had a microchip implanted between this thumb and forefinger. The Radio Frequency ID technology will allow employees to clock in, unlock doors, log onto computers and pay for cafeteria purchases — all with a swipe of the hand. As president of the first US company to microchip their employees, McMullan will oversee the development of the microchip program as it begins to offer public products such as securing travel documents, medical records and store purchases as well as providing for the safety of infants, children and elders.
